The Nest journey

The National Employment Savings Trust (Nest) was established in 2010 as a workplace pension scheme. It’s designed around the needs of our customers, offering a simple, high-quality way to save for retirement.

Nest was set up by the government to help deliver the government’s auto enrolment programme. We have a public service obligation, much like the BBC or NHS, to serve the wider British public by making sure that every employer in the UK has access to a high-quality workplace pension scheme.

We’ve since gone from strength to strength, offering an award-winning pension fund and market-leading investment solutions that are run for the benefit of our members.

We’ve already become the UK’s largest pension provider, but have our eye on the future as the UK pensions industry continues to change and evolve.
