How do I enrol workers using SFTP?

You’ll need to create a comma separated values (CSV) or extensible markup language (XML) file.

We provide templates to create the files and these will help you to get your information into the right structure. It’s important to complete the enrolment information using the set format otherwise we won’t be able to process the file. You can find our templates and files in CSV templates and XSD files (ZIP) or you can create your own file if you prefer. If you’re using a third party payroll provider, they may provide the files for you.

There’s more information on how to create your own files in the Employer payroll guide (PDF) and you can test your files using the Nest file tester (ZIP) to see if there are any formatting errors. Once you’ve prepared your XML or CSV file you should drop it to the Inbox Mailbox folder in the Nest file gateway. The Nest file gateway is a server where you can drop files for us to process and pick up your return files.

Please refer to your SFTP provider for information on how to upload the file to Nest.
