Do I need to check anything before sending contribution details by SFTP?

You’ll need to have set up your SFTP client. If you haven’t set up your SFTP client with NEST please see SFTP Set-up guide for information on how to do this.

If you’re using a CSV file that’s smaller than 2MB in size you don’t need to use SFTP if you don’t want to. You can upload a CSV file through your online account instead. Please see Where do I upload my completed CSV file to submit contributions? for more information. Depending on the number of records you need to submit, you could also complete and approve your contribution schedule directly via your online NEST account.

Once you’ve prepared your file, you’re ready to send it to NEST. You can test your file using our NEST file tester (ZIP) to check for any formatting errors. Don’t forget that all the members you’ve included in your file must have already been successfully enrolled.
