How do I log into my account for the first time?

To log in for the first time, you’ll need:

  • your Nest ID
  • your National Insurance number, or alternate unique identifier provided by your current employer
  • your date of birth

You can find your Nest ID on the letter inside your welcome pack. You should have received this in the post, along with ‘Your quick guide to Nest’. Your Nest ID begins with MEM and contains nine numbers, for example MEM012345678.

Steps to log in

Go to our login page.

Enter your date of birth, Nest ID, and your National Insurance number, or alternate unique identifier provided by your employer.

To log in, enter your contact details including your email address and UK mobile number.

We’ll ask you to create a username, a password and three security questions before verifying your account. We recommend using a strong unique password that you don’t use for other online accounts. Ensure your security questions aren’t easy to guess or contain any information that’s available through other channels such as social media.

If you choose to verify your account with a passcode to your UK mobile number, you’ll need to use it quickly as it’s only valid for 10 minutes.

If you prefer to get an activation link via email, you’ll receive it within 24 hours and it’s valid for 28 days. Once it expires, you’ll need to begin the process again and re-enter your details.

If you don’t receive an activation link within 24 hours, please call our contact centre on 0300 020 0090.
