Nest surpasses £2 billion in commitments to HarbourVest-managed private equity strategy

Nest, one of the UK’s largest defined contribution (DC) workplace pension schemes, has surpassed £2 billion committed to the private equity mandate managed by HarbourVest Partners (HarbourVest), a global private asset manager. The commitment has grown from an initial £750 million when HarbourVest was appointed in 2022.

Nest launches free pensions finder service to help millions track down retirement savings

Nest, one of the UK's largest pension schemes, has launched a free pension finder service to help its more than 14 million members track down pension savings from previous jobs. The launch comes as new Nest data reveals that one in four members do not know how many pension pots they have or know they have more than one but are unsure of how many in total.

Order change comes into force enabling Nest to offer flexi-access drawdown

Legislation has come into force which will enable Nest Pensions to offer flexi-access drawdown and related retirement and death benefit options to its more than 14 million members. Made through an amendment to Nest’s Order, this milestone will allow Nest to expand its retirement offerings for its members and allow Nest members access to the same retirement choices as savers in other pension schemes.
