Nest submits master trust authorisation application

Nest has today submitted its master trust authorisation application to The Pensions Regulator (TPR).

Commenting on the announcement Neville Howe, NEST’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, said:

“With millions of workers saving for the first time through auto enrolment, it’s right to build confidence among pension savers. We’re supportive of the new master trust authorisation process and the strengthened governance and oversight this will bring across the industry. 

“I can confirm Nest has submitted its application.”

The new independent assurance confirms pension schemes meet standards of governance and administration outlined by TPR across the following criteria:

  • Fit and proper, 
  • Systems and processes,
  • Continuity strategy,
  • Scheme funder, and
  • Financial sustainability.
